Description
With a decade of music and relentless touring behind them, Spanish Love Songs return with Future Nausea, their fourth full-length and most ambitious record to date. Following Schmaltz (2018), Brave Faces Everyone (2020) and No Joy (2023), the band expands their sound with the widescreen sweep of classic heartland rock, combining shimmering synths, ringing guitars and soaring choruses with Dylan Slocum’s incisive songwriting. Produced by Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie) and Sarah Tudzin (Illuminati Hotties), FUTURE NAUSEA confronts political violence, climate anxiety, late-stage capitalism and an uncertain future, transforming anxiety and anger into immediate, anthemic rock while ultimately finding hope in love, friendship and community. Future Nausea is Spanish Love Songs at their most expansive, urgent and emotionally resonant, pairing their signature lyrical honesty with their biggest and boldest sound yet.
