Lee Morgan’s prolific late-60s output pushed hard bop into the realm of post-bop including 1967’s The Sixth Sense, an evocative date that bristled with vitality featuring Jackie McLean on alto sax, Frank Mitchell on tenor sax, Cedar Walton on piano, Victor Sproles on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums.
This stereo Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
