Description
Earth Mother Earth is a homespun and intimate recording from Jon Anderson, blending natural sounds and acoustic textures into a uniquely personal album. Recorded with a deep connection to his surroundings, Jon literally brings his home into the music — including birdsong, ambient sounds, and even the voice of his wife, Jane. The album recalls the ethereal feel of Anderson’s beloved Olias of Sunhillow, but while that release leaned into the supernatural, Earth Mother Earth takes a more grounded, naturalistic approach.
Acoustic guitar, harp, and layered vocals flow together to create an atmospheric and emotionally resonant listening experience. Meditative, organic, and deeply reflective, this album is a spiritual exploration of sound and nature, reaffirming Anderson’s place as one of the most visionary voices in progressive and ambient music.
