My Favorite Things', anchored by the Rodgers and Hammerstein show tune of the same name, would become one of Coltrane's most commercially successful releases and the first album of his career to feature the talented musician and composer playing the soprano sax on record. Celebrating its 65th Anniversary in 2026, this new mono recording of 'My Favorite Things' is a breakout LP from the Rhino High-Fidelity box set titled 'John Coltrane: 1960-1964'. All lacquers are AAA cut directly from the mono tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Optimal, with meticulous detailing on the packaging that includes glossy covers and "tip-on" jackets.
