Highly regarded as one of the most influential jazz records of all time, John Coltrane's 'Giant Steps' marked the prolific artist's first Atlantic Records release as a band leader. Featuring the beloved "Naima" and highly regarded "Giant Steps", both of which have gone on to become essential jazz standards, this new breakout mono LP will follow the release of the forthcoming Rhino High-Fidelity box set titled 'John Coltrane: 1960-1964' --- where all lacquers are AAA cut directly from the mono tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Optimal, with meticulous detailing on the album packaging that includes glossy covers and "tip-on" jackets.
