A studio album that captured the freewheeling energy of a live blowing session, organist Jimmy Smith’s House Party featured a who’s who cast of musicians stretching out on a set of bebop, blues, and standards including Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Lou Donaldson, George Coleman, Tina Brooks, Kenny Burrell, Eddie McFadden, Art Blakey, and Donald Bailey.
This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes, and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
