1974 was an awesome year for the Jefferson Airplane founding members Grace Slick, Paul Kantner and Marty Balin, as they took a new flight into the galaxy as Jefferson Starship, and soon found themselves in a major hit recording act, major touring act and one of the longest lasting bands from the sixties well into 2025. For their first entree, Jefferson Starship delivered the goods with their first of many gold and platinum albums with their Top 10 smash "Dragon Fly." Featuring two big hit singles "Ride The Tiger" and "Caroline", the band now had a new direction, a much larger audience, and radio play which made them both rock and Top 40 favorites for decades.
