Exclusively for My Friends is widely seen as the centerpiece of any Oscar Peterson collection. Peterson himself went into raptures about the MPS-Recordings, stating that, thanks to the intimate recording atmosphere in Hans Georg Brunnder-Schwer's living room and his pursuit of perfection as a sound engineer and producer, they belonged to his best.
