Gold Necklace features two of the most prominent players in modern progressive rock—vocalist Kurt Travis (A Lot Like Birds, Royal Coda) and bassist/guitarist Brandon Ewing (Chon.) The bands debut self titled album, released in fall of 2021, charted at #62 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and broke into the Billboard Top 200. This eclectic collection of songs could just as easily be heard fueling movement on a dance floor as it could in the headphones of a music theory major. While maintaining experimental, clean guitar, jazz sensibility and odd meter beloved by math rock enthusiasts, Gold Necklace also manage to infuse R B, fusion, and groove into their songs, giving their self-titled album undeniable mass appeal.
