This 2LP is comprised of two late-in-the-year dates at End of Cole Ave in Dallas and at the Matrix in San Francisco, all sourced from fan tape recordings, the two-track mix-down straight from the live console, or from acetate copies. The fact that few recordings of Velvet Underground exist from before 1970 has made this compilation a treasured gem amongst fans. The tracks on this 2LP showcase a stripped-down and vulnerable Lou Reed accompanied by a band at arguably their creative zenith, and each song offers a fresh perspective on their respective studio versions.

Format / LP
Released / 11/08/2024
Catalogue / POR-159452
Barcode / 602465647655
Artist / The Velvet Underground
Label / Polydor
Genre / Pop / Rock

https://www.plaidroomrecords.com/products/the-velvet-underground-1969-the-velvet-underground-live-with-lou-reed
