The rhythm section of pianist Hank Jones, Sam Jones on bass, and the legendary Art Blakey on drums is ultra tight, crafting a solid foundation for some of the most lyrical work to come from Davis and Adderley. Every cut grooves hard here, giving the sense of a laid back session. It's no surprise that Adderley would go on to contribute to some of Davis' most iconic recordings.
