It's the first release from their forthcoming long-player, West Winds, due for release in early 2022. Los Days is a collaboration between San Francisco skateboard pioneer Tommy Guerrero (Jet Black Crayon, Blktop Project) and LA-based multi-instrumentalist Josh Lippi (Josh Lippi \u0026amp; The Overtimers). During summer 2020, the duo decamped to House Of The Rising Sun, a solar-powered single room house deep in the heart of Wonder Valley, CA armed only with a basic recording setup, an intentionally limited collection of instruments and zero previously prepared material. Over the course of five days they tuned out the noise of 21st century life and keyed into the rhythms of the high desert, writing, arranging and recording a body of work inspired by and channelling the austere beauty of the surrounding landscape. Like its predecessor, West Winds demonstrates Guerrero \u0026amp; Lippi's seemingly effortless ability to nail that off-grid vibe, with a collection of tracks filled with laid-back dusty grooves. Stripped back and minimalistic, the album is awash with shimmering guitars that drip with lush reverb.
