Me. Me.\u003c\/em\u003e Album. Came to be during the summer of 1994, when Mark Robinson joined Blast Off Country Style on tour, coinciding with the U.S. hosting the World Cup for the first time. Said Robinson: \u003cem\u003e“During the day, we’d do the things that indie bands at the time would do — go to thrift shops. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eOne day, I bought football cleats and bright blinding orange polyester coach’s shorts. The band started calling me ‘coach’. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eAt a show in North Carolina, I was sporting my new outfit, complete with a matching bright orange Teenbeat shirt. Esther Oliver came up to me and said, ‘You’ve got World Cup fever’. Originally intended as a football theme and was even considered for the BBC’s World Cup Grandstand during the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico (though, it was unfortunately not used).
